 Dang. I guess we can't call him Shaq anymore.

 [Shaq's nearly impeccable on-court comportment certainly earns him points with the refs.] If most players were fouled the way Shaq gets fouled--hard fouls, hacking--they'd be ready to fight, ... but Shaq just takes it and goes to the free throw line.

 That dang Fair Play award I won twice got me ridiculed a bit. So now I don't want to win it anymore. I just don't like to lose. It's been like that my whole life. It's embarrassing to lose.

 Shaq didn't call me this summer,

 One of the first thoughts that ran through my mind was like, 'I guess Shaq was right.' Meaning, he takes more shots than he should. You know, 30 points should be enough for him. If Shaq threw an elbow way out, you'd say it was an obvious foul. But it's within his offensive move, and that makes it difficult to officiate.

 As good as [Duncan] is, he?s not overpowering like Shaq. Shaq is a different beast as far as having to deal with him on that level.

 Granted, they're playing without Shaq, but they beat some quality teams without Shaq. It's a big win for us.

 Look at the Lakers. You saw them with Kobe and Shaq and they won championships together. Then Shaq left and what happened? Every action figure needs [help], like Batman and Robin. One man doing it all is a fairytale.

 Shaq is one of the top 50 greatest players, and to be compared to him, I appreciate that. But I want to have my own stamp of immortality. I can't live forever being known as 'Baby Shaq.' But we've got a couple of similarities — we both like to dominate.

 We were fortunate that Shaq got into foul trouble. It was nothing we did as a team, even though we shut the paint down a little bit. Shaq got three offensive fouls and a couple were bad calls, so we got lucky on that.

 I guess he made the right call. It is what it is. … We'll take it anyway we can get it. It doesn't matter if it was the right call or not. The ump is the only one who knows if it is the right call or not. And we'll take it.

 He was brought into my office and so badly wanted to meet Shaquille O'Neal. I arranged that the next time Shaq was here. I befriended him then. He and Shaq are so much a like. Their games are not all that similar ... but as far as them being likeable and smiling, they are very much alike.

 I don't have my car anymore, so it's hard to get around, ... My parents used to call me every day, now I can't even call them. I just get a busy signal.

 I guess we'd feel like Auburn did last year. I guess I'd call them and ask them how they felt.
