 It was a tough decision. We just thought he was the best candidate, experience-wise.

 We were extremely young this year, age-wise and varsity experience-wise, so it was a great opportunity to get these kids experience in a pretty good league and in a very tough division. I thought they responded and competed very well. We're really looking forward to next year.

 I thought I really liked him coming out. I saw an upside. But I don't see the growth you like to see in a young quarterback, decision-making-wise and throwing-wise.

 We're pretty solid, experience-wise, on the D-line and at linebacker. We're just young, not age-wise, but experience-wise, in the secondary. I think a lot of our success is going to depend on how well our secondary catches up.

 [The problem I'm having with Harrington is he should be beyond some of the mistakes he continues to make in his fourth season. He has thrown 1,564 passes, but if the light bulb has gone on, it isn't burning brightly.] I thought I really liked him coming out, ... I saw an upside.  I'm sorry to see him go. He's been a great player for a lot of years. Obviously, it was a decision he's thought long and hard about. It's a very tough decision.

I thought I could get out (in double overtime). I got out on him real quick in the second period. He held me tough, he did a good job.

 Having military experience is a great resume item, but it does not automatically make someone a good candidate. It takes a lot more to be a credible candidate than one strong resume point.
