 End-Stage Renal Disease has been a long-standing challenge for the community. It's never raised itself in terms of volume of patients to be a huge need, but it's really an incredible inconvenience for the patients and their families.

 These studies show many more patients can benefit from taking these two drugs, ... Even though the FDA expanded the indications for their use earlier this year to include patients with moderate to severe disease, many patients are not using them.

 We have to wonder if there is a true community need for another program, given the limited number of liver transplants that are performed each year in this area. If you have two centers competing for 40 to 45 patients a year, will either one get the needed volume of patients to ensure excellent outcomes?

 This is a very strong association of survival with taking aspirin in the days leading up to surgery, ... The study further confirms aspirin's benefits for patients with known cardiovascular disease. It also shows there is no increased risk of bleeding, which eliminates the main reason why physicians and surgeons would ask patients to discontinue aspirin therapy. Patients with heart disease who are not taking aspirin should ask themselves -- and their doctors -- 'Why not?'

 Diuretics are effective, easy to administer and inexpensive. Excessive use of diuretics provokes renal [kidney] insufficiency. Importantly, changes in renal function do impart an additional risk for patients with heart failure.

 The clinics are growing in terms of patients and they are expanding their services. Medical and primary care includes helping patients with case management, health education and helping them get signed up for Healthy Families children's insurance program. It's federally funded and was started several years ago. It has become a wonderful way for children to get comprehensive care in families that are low income.

 We apologize to our patients and our community. We know that this is going to inconvenience many, and concern many more.

 This application represents a summary of data from more than six years of rigorous clinical study and the dedication of thousands of patients and physicians hoping to improve outcomes for those with this devastating disease. We look forward to working with the FDA in our efforts to bring this potential therapy to patients quickly as it may offer benefit to patients with all types of wet AMD.

 Based on our research, it appears that increases in numbers of patients at both ends of the acuity spectrum contribute to ED overcrowding. Some increased volume may be due to severely ill patients who can now be treated successfully in the ED, such as those with irregular heartbeat. At the other end of the spectrum, a growing number of less sick patients are now coming to the ED, particularly in areas without after-hours facilities. This is an access problem.

 We believe these subjects and patients really learned to control their brain and, through that, their pain...Pain has a huge impact on individual patients, their families and society. I got incredibly jazzed by the results. We could change people's lives. However, significantly more science and testing must be done before this can be considered a treatment for chronic pain.

 That's huge for patients who may have used pain medications for a long time and have a tolerance. It can take the anxiety away; some are fearful of waking up to incredible pain. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

 We appreciate the dedicated efforts of CTC and the Kannapolis Intimidators in helping us fight the battle against ALS through this annual event.  Patients and physicians need options to address early to moderate stage disc degeneration. Currently, many of these patients find themselves in a holding pattern, in limbo between prolonged, marginally effective conservative care and major surgical intervention. Our hope is that the Wallis device will provide relief to those patients and stop them from progressing toward total disc replacement or fusion.
