 When you come head-to-head with those kind of teams and beat them, then you get the feeling that you can take yourself up a couple of notches on the totem pole. Right now, I think we're a team that can make the playoffs if we stay healthy and continue to play the type of basketball we're playing.

 Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

 Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

 I think women's basketball hinges on not just the play of, but the personalities of, its superstars. I think Courtney and Candace fit that bill. But as far as a head-to-head rivalry, they don't play the position. It's kind of like Kobe and Shaq. “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence. It's different. They're both really, really good, but they aren't going to guard each other.

 This is the first playoffs since 2000 we've been really healthy, ... Sheryl is having an MVP type of year, Tina's getting back into form. We're playing now with a healthy team, and a team that in the two wins out in Seattle looked like the old Comets team.

 Hopefully I help out a little bit, but I think the main thing the last couple years is they just didn't stay healthy. I believe if they stayed healthy, they already had a great team before me. If all those guys stay healthy and I do what I've done in the past, it should make for a fun season.

 All the matches we had, we won head to head except against Manitou, and they beat us pretty good. We are trying to get everyone healthy for Rifle (on Thursday) and possibly Valley this weekend.

 I don't mind (playing head-to-head). Usually, when you play the other team's top lines, there are more chances going the other way, too. That's fine with me.

 One of the things we don't do is that we don't penetrate. We don't have that ability on our team. We have one guy who can get by people on the dribble, and right now his knowledge of basketball is such that he can't find the open player. We just don't put pressure on the defense to make them help. We've allowed teams to play us head-up. If you're not getting the shot in that sweet spot, it's not going to go down easily.

 The second half saw both teams make runs, and Cathedral hit key threes to extend the lead enough to stay ahead. It was a strong battle, and our team has nothing but these type of games left. We have struggled to get a win lately, but we have battled sickness and injury. We are looking to get to full strength soon and to keep playing exciting basketball.

 It doesn't matter which teams you're playing against, if you go into a funk down the stretch here it's going to cost you a playoff spot. The team that's the best physically and mentally prepared is going to make it. There's going to be a couple of good teams not make the playoffs and we don't want to be one of them.

 Everybody had to be honest. We couldn't go head-to-head with Russia. We couldn't go head-to-head with Canada. For us, it would have to be about playing as a team.

 I think we're one of the top four teams in the state along with Holbrook, Winslow and Fountain Hills. Everything has to be perfect - the moon, the stars - and we have to be healthy. But can we do it this year? Yes. If we continue to play team basketball and team defense, I don't see why not.

 I think this is going to be a great atmosphere even for non-basketball fans. We have two stellar teams with a chance to go head-to-head in a pivotal game. I'm sure it's going to be a packed house.

 The first thing that I remember that made me realize we're in trouble, in the distance I saw something way up in the air and I couldn't figure out what it was but as he came closer on the horse I realized what it was. It was a head. He had it on a bamboo pole. A head on a bamboo pole. When I saw that, you know, I figured we were in big trouble.
