 (Hughes and Weisman) got what I call a good draw as for the district. If they wrestle to their potential, our thought is they will get to state. They both can qualify.

 We have a realistic chance to qualify as many as nine wrestlers for state if we wrestle to our abilities. We will need the others to win on the backside to help claim the district title.

 I thought Holcomb had an easier draw, but it turned out that the freshman he faced in the first round ended up second at district. It turned out to be a really bad draw and he didn't wrestle well.

 I think we've got a good chance to get a lot more guys through to district this year and that will help our team score. It's just a matter of how we wrestle on that day. If we wrestle to our full potential, I think we can do very well as a team.

 It's luck of the draw. You could get the best two in the same half of the bracket. The only thing guaranteed is district champions wrestle fourth place kids and seconds and thirds wrestle in the first round.

 Realistically, we would like to get 10 kids out to district. Is this feasible? I think so, if they all wrestle to their potential. Anything less than eight district qualifiers would be a disappointment.

 I just beat the 12th ranked kid in the state. I watched Hoffman wrestle at Top Gun and Brecksville and I thought I could beat him if I wrestled to my ability. I haven't looked at the district bracket yet, but I am hoping to go to state.

 Davey fascinated Ronald and Nancy Reagan with his relationship with Hughes. Some of the things Hughes had him do were bizarre and fascinating. When Hughes wanted something done, he'd call Davey.

 She's been in the top 20 all season and the top 24 in the state (qualify for the state meet), and her personal goal is to get to the state level.  We learned a lot of things wrestling in the district meet. The kids picked up a lot about how wrestlers that are good enough to go to the state finals wrestle. Watching good teams, you learn a lot about style and aggression and what the sport is really about.

 You have to wrestle. You come here to wrestle. If you don't wrestle, you lose. This call was correct. We didn't wrestle. That's not what we want the program to be known for.

 Being a district champion gives you a good draw, and if you can win those first two matches, you know you're going to place. With the way Andy is wrestling right now, he can hang with anybody in the state.

 We want everyone to come out and wrestle as good and hard as they can. We're going to try and qualify every wrestler. Whether or not it's realistic, it's our goal.

 I made it to state, probably because I've worked hard, and I've had some real good coaching with Brent (Miller) coming in. I had a little bit of luck at district with the draw I got, one of the guys got hurt, so that really opened things up for me a little bit.
