It was dangerous when you saw Eckstein went down. That's when you knew the field was getting too sloppy to play on. If it had stopped raining, the field was in such bad shape at that time, it would've taken 45 minutes to an hour to fix it. Then they risk [Friday's] field conditions, too. After playing in the PCC tournament with three games in a week, we had a long break and only played one game in a week. This is more of our pace, three games in a week and there is a lot at stake.

We wanted to control the pace. We didn't want to let them get any fast-break points like they did when we played in New Jersey.

We aren't very good at taking care of the ball right now at that fast pace. Until we can take care of the ball at that fast of a pace, we are going to stick to the inside game.

If, in fact, Christen is not playing this week, then everybody is going to have to step it up a notch and I know they'll do that. Last week we had a terrible week of practice and I think that was shown on (last Friday against Central Crossing, which hadn't scored since the second quarter of its opener and dropped to 0-4). Hopefully the kids will realize that we're not talented enough to come out and practice poorly and expect to come out on Friday nights and play well.
