Matt is a very special player. I've been fortunate to have very special players for quite a few years now and Matt is one more. Matt doesn't need much coaching. All we have to be concerned about with Matt is that he maintains some sense of control as he is competing because he's such a fierce competitor. You can't compare those things, but Matt's working toward that. Hopefully, he will continue and match (Jason's accomplishments).

Matt Price has done a great job for us all year. He's got great poise and that's one of the things I like about Matt. He looks like a baseball player out there.

We are excited that Matt chose to return to Charlotte and continue to build upon last year's start, ... We've only played 10 or 12 shows with Matt. Markku left a month and a half, maybe two, ago. We met Matt through Chris, our drummer. They both come from up north (the Bay area), and Matt was playing in a band called Tsunami Bomb. He was great, so we called him in.

Matt, of course, worked three years for us as a graduate assistant and I am well aware of his background and talents. I always try and keep an eye on young, talented coaches, and it was an easy decision to hire Matt. He'll hit the ground running with his previous experience at Northwestern and with me.
