 That was the way we had to play. We played well defensively and we didn't give them much. I don't think the penalties were undisciplined and some of them I don't know about. I think they were penalties because we were trying to do some things. I thought it was a good solid effort.

 That was probably one of our worst games on the trip. We were in the box all game killing penalties and we're a horrible team when he have to kill that many penalties.

 He knows he has to be a guy who's solid along the [boards], who's going to dig the puck out of the corners and finish checks and do a great job of killing penalties. He accepts that, and I think it's what makes him successful at it.

 Marquette is a very fast and disciplined hockey team and they gave us a lot of trouble. We had a solid game plan, but didn't execute it. Plus, we had 12 minor penalties and you can't survive against a team like Marquette with that many penalties.

 It was a good, solid effort by our team. In fact, both teams played well and had a solid effort.

 I love killing penalties. I don't like to see us get them, but when we do, it gives me a chance to go out there for 30 or 40 seconds and work hard to help the team.

 You start making excuses for yourself that you're getting screwed on calls and things like that. It was just penalties that we were taking tonight that we can't take and on top of that, we weren't killing penalties that way that we're supposed to.

 Minnesota was the top penalty-killing team in the league and they had the least amount of minor [penalties]. It's putting two and two together.  I don't think you can replace a guy like Daniel Alfredsson. He does so much for this team and he is having such an awesome year. He's doing it all for us: Killing penalties and scoring big goals. I don't think it's up to just one guy to step up when he's gone. Everybody has to get the job done.

 Penalties, penalties, penalties. But you know what, nobody on that team ever gave up. Nobody on that team ever quit. Nobody thought we wouldn't hold them and go into overtime or do something big in the end zone.

 very convinced we have a very solid plan to catch these people killing us and killing Iraqis.
