 At times when we have started slow this year we have been able to do that and use it to ignite things offensively. Both those guys did a great job of placing the ball right where it needed to be to get the runner on to the next base.

 We did the things we needed to do offensively to win this game tonight. We did a great job of getting guys on base and playing offense.

 Offensively, we did what we had to do. We got some guys on base and were hitting the ball alright, but we needed to make a couple more plays in the field.

 It gave the offensive line the confidence they needed and they started getting better as the game went on. He's just a punishing runner. It hurts to tackle him. We don't get any negative yardage when he runs the ball because he is such a powerful runner.

 We weren't perfect today, but we did a lot of really good things. Offensively it was easy. When the defense gets you the ball that many times in a row, that many times on their side of the 50 and a couple of times in the red zone it really makes it easier for you offensively.

 In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. Nahum showed a lot more improvement at the beginning of the year, then with Jon, it all started clicking for him a few games ago. Some of these guys don't have a ton of game experience, so when you get the ball to them in the post they go too fast. Now they're starting to slow things down a little bit.

 It's frustrating for me and the rest of the team to leave guys in scoring position that many times. It's different with a runner on third and two outs, that just hurts your heart. You want to drive in a run. With a runner on second, you know you need a hit and you just want to lock in and hit the ball hard.

 I felt we could run the ball on them, we just couldn't do it consistently. At times, we did some great things offensively. But we didn't put the ball in the end zone, and you have to give credit to (N.C. State's) defense for that.

 It's been great to get Velez this year to come in as a freshman. She's got an incredible arm, she has an understanding of the game, she's an incredibly fast runner and she can put the bat on the ball. She's been a great addition. She just walked on and started playing and she hasn't skipped a beat.

 I tried to make a line drive to the first-base side. I was a little disappointed it was a fly ball. I didn't care how far it went. The team needed a runner moved up. If the right fielder catches the fly ball, that doesn't happen. I was fortunate it was far enough he couldn't catch it.

 Everyone is doing what they're supposed to do. Guys around our big guys are getting on base and into scoring position, and our big guys are putting the ball in play and coming through. Everybody is doing their jobs offensively.

 Defensively we started to zero in on guys (in the second half). We just had to do a better job of (identifying) shooters. Offensively, in the second half we got our act together and started moving the ball. More guys started scoring and that made a big difference.

 I told you guys the other day that he is the catalyst. It seems like if he gets on base three times a night, he scores three times. He knows how important he is to our team. He's been great. So hopefully he will continue to get on base and take his walks and be J-Roll.

 We didn't hit the ball as well as we've been hitting. We started slow last year too, so I'm hoping. We've got to get a little more healthy and fix those things that we're struggling with.

 We're getting good results out of him when he is running the ball. He got off to a slow start. One of the problems that Jerome has had since he's been here is not being a very physical runner. He has shown at times, the last few weeks, where he's initiating the hit instead of the defense doing that.
