 I was encouraged by some of the things our defense did. They will get nothing but better. We have some young people playing at spots and I think they played pretty well. All in all I would have to say the defense held up their end of the bargain.

 Defensively, we were pretty solid over all four quarters. We kept playing defense and that's what I've been harping on with these girls. You keep playing defense, the offense is going to come eventually. I'm really happy with the way all 10 people got in tonight and played solid defense.

 With the new faces that we have on defense and the young people that are playing defense, if we can stay healthy, as the season progresses, they'll just develop into and have a pretty good identity.

 We started playing better defense and took charge. We did some good things offensively and played much better defense in the second half.

 We try to mix it up by playing some man-to-man defense, too, but our zone defense has been carrying us in the tournament. The big thing is we can't give up penetration. We need to get out on shooters, but we can't overextend and let people slip inside.  The defense was outstanding. (Owen D. Young) didn't have a lot of chances but when they did make a run the defense held its composure.

 Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key.
