en What makes this loss so tough to take is how we kept our poise long enough to kick that field goal and the fact that we had our defense set up to guard against the pass. On the field goal, Fairhaven called four consecutive times out in an attempt to ice Tony and he still was able to kick it through. And on that final pass, we had three guys around the receiver. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. Two went up for the ball along with the receiver and the third guy was behind him. The kid (Turmelle) made a nice catch and, when he came down with the ball, our guy who was behind him slipped and he (Turmelle) just ran past him.

en We wanted to establish the run. After we wear them down some on the run, then we'll drop back and pass. That was our game plan for tonight. We knew that we had the size advantage. We wanted to use that as one of our main contributions to our win tonight.

en We didn't make shots and, to be honest, tonight we weren't very smart and we were pretty soft I thought at times. We really weren't that competitive for stretches of the game. It's frustrating; we all have to look at ourselves and try to get better and be more competitive throughout the game.

en When you have a different receiver every day, there's timing issues involved. The thing I've been most pleased with is, a lot of times, we're just missing (on pass attempts). Ben's getting it to the right spot, so hopefully, it's just a timing issue with all the different guys out there.

en If we could find somebody that fits a role, maybe a guy that's a special teams player but also can play receiver, or somebody that's more polished as a receiver who can help us in the game plan, that'd be fine. Or it could be someone who plays a different position.

en There's nothing that Roy doesn't do well. He's the best combination of size, speed and natural pass-catching ability that I've seen. He's not our fastest receiver, and he's not our biggest receiver. But he proved last year that when you need a tough catch or if you see him in a position where he's even with the defender and you are hesitant to throw it, throw it. Give him a chance and he'll catch it.

en We're running plays all the way through, setting screens and getting guys open and putting them in a great position to score. We're looking for each other and making the extra pass.

en I don't think I'll be picking on any of those guys (in particular). I'm just going to go through my progressions and try to throw to the open receiver instead of the open linebacker.

en If this was a regular pickup game, you'd have guys throwing punches by now. But these monks ... whether they make or miss a shot, catch or drop a pass, they crack up at everything.

en What Palisade does is take sure risks relative to the pass. It's tough to run against. If you don't catch passes to wide open guys ... We had guys open.
