 We haven't created many turnovers and we've kind of lost the field position battle, but we're hanging in there. We still won a game and our offense is moving and we're getting better.

 We created the turnovers, which put our guys in a tough position. It was a game of turnovers and field position. We gave them easy opportunities.

 I really believe the key to the entire game for us defensively was starting the game out on offense like we did. We took the ball and drove it down the field deep into their territory twice, which just totally throws the field position in our favor. I felt like the kids kind of fed off that a little bit.

 What we've done the last few weeks is play very efficient on offense, special teams has been winning the battle of field position, and the defense is getting us the ball back in scoring position. That's what we're looking for.

 Right now we're in a battle. Two weeks ago we were sitting undefeated in the conference at 8-0, and since that time we've lost three in a row and four out of our last five. Right now we're sitting in a battle for second place at 9-4. Every game from now on is a playoff game ? we need to battle for position.

 We just haven't been able to get it moving on the ground. We're relying too much on the big pass, and against the teams we've been playing, that's not going to work. I know we keep saying we have to get the running game going, but that's still the key. We know we can throw the ball down the field. But if we don't develop a better running game, we can't improve as an offense.

 They played hard and fought their way back into the game. The game goes back and forth for two quarters, and they were kind of creeping back in the ballgame. We just have enough weapons, and we got some field position on turnovers there in the forth quarter to put the game away.

 I thought we came out and played well in the first quarter. Then we lost the battle of field position.

 We'd be on offense seemingly dominating and then they'd flip the field and do the same thing to us. Two really similar teams. It's the kind of game you don't want to lose, but I think I would feel bad if they lost. But not that bad, you know.  I don't overlook them; I think they're great. Our field position has been great all year, and our defense has created turnovers.

 When we're really good, we've created a lot of turnovers and scored with those turnovers. There's more ways to score on defense than offense.

 There's no doubt about it, this will be a field-position game and we're going to have to put their offense in a long field, ... They're a pretty explosive offense, with a lot of playmakers, and we have to make sure we give our defense an opportunity to make it hard on San Diego to move the ball.
