Concord's defense came ready gezegde

 Concord's defense came ready to play. That is not the same defense I saw on tape. Obviously coach Smith and his staff coached them up this week. As much as we didn't execute and missed things, they played well.

 What we're really pleased with is that they played hard. We tried to execute our defense, but we played a lot of base defense. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do on some things. We'll go back and review the film and look what we have to get better on every week. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did this week, but we feel good about how hard they played tonight.

 Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. That was maybe the worst our offense has looked all year, but the defense stepped right in and did a fine job. Our defense got burnt for 53 points and about 400 yards against U.M.S. and every week since then they've gotten better and have improved. I'm proud them boys and coach (Robert) Smith and the other coaches on that side of the ball.

 I think they definitely played a different style than we're used to. I don't think we were ready to play such a physical game. And how the refs called it, we weren't ready. We'd planned to provide more help-side defense down low, but we didn't execute.

 Execute better offensively than we did last week, ... Our defense didn't play too bad against Sacred Heart so I expect our defense to play well again, except our offense has to sustain drives and not just put 12 points on the board.

(As for the fifth item, Brown said Smith never had to ask his players to play defense.)] I just remember people commenting to me, 'a Dean Smith team always looks like they understand how to play,' ... And I always said, 'Well, they play the right way.'

 It's not one guy. We played bad, I coached bad, it's everybody. We're all thrown in on this one. We all missed, all turned it over, all didn't play up to snuff. I didn't get the game fast enough, so I didn't coach well enough.

 Well, he got ready in about two seconds on the sidelines. I think with about a week's preparation, he will be as ready as we can get a freshman ready. He is physically talented, and he has been studying our defense. We may not be able to do as many things as we could with Patrick, but I think we can run our defense with (Russell) in there.

 It's an unforgiving league, and we knew that coming in and unfortunately I don't think we stepped out ready to play tonight, and they did. Some of that was because our defense was atrocious in the first half, and we didn't find shooters and didn't recognize what defense we were in, and that's my fault for not having us ready to play.

 In the first half, we didn't play defense at all. We played horrible defense and that's the biggest part of our game. Then we buckled down and played great defense and gave ourselves a shot.

 I take the blame. We weren't ready to play, we weren't in sync, we never got anything going. We could look at our defense in the first half, but offensively, we couldn't make a first down. That's not like us. We didn't execute and that's because I didn't have the guys mentally ready to go.

 Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks.

 It's very frustrating. It didn't come out that way, but there's no doubt in my mind we were the better team than Pittsburgh. The defense played great. They gave us good field position and we just missed our opportunities. Whether it was penalties or whatever, we just didn't execute right. It was nothing Pittsburgh did. We just killed ourselves.

 We just didn't play well at all offensively tonight. Our defense played well enough to win, but our offense just didn't execute.

 One of the main reasons our defense has played so consistently is our work on and improvement in our tackling. We haven't had the missed tackles that we've had in the past. That's something the defensive coaches emphasized in the spring and have continued to emphasize in practice now. By making sure we stress the fundamentals, and that's one of the things we do each week, that has paid off with how well our defense has tackled compared to previous teams.

 We're quicker and we can play more pressure defense than last year. And we're ready. We were a little rusty tonight because we hadn't played in a week, but we're ready.
