We picked up the sounds of one whale off Kodiak Island, and several others in deep water, which is also something of a surprise, since most right whale sightings have been near-shore.

 Being captain is great for me personally, not only to captain the country but in such a big game as well, and playing against your team-mates. I'm not a vocal captain, like other people. I just try to lead by example.

 It would be an honor to be a captain in the future for this organization, but when you look around, there are different people having more experience than I do and have been there before. I had two persons in front of me. One was (Eric Desjardins) and the other was (Hatcher). Those were the two people in my mind that were the best people to have that job. That was one reason I was not comfortable with it.

 People are traveling year-round now much more than they used to. Halloween is not your typical travel holiday, but people can use it as an excuse to travel. Plus, unlike Thanksgiving and Christmas, when everybody is traveling, on Halloween you're not going to be traveling with the masses.

 He's our captain and if he's out of our lineup, it's a blow.
