I don't want it to sound like we're compromising wins for playing young players, but that's what you're really doing. We're playing for next year. That's what you've got to do. We have to be good next year.

 Our first priority all the time is to extend the contracts of our current players. Everyone is different but we are very confident that those whose contracts we want to extend we will and the squad by the start of next season will be what we want. We have great relationships with Duff, Cole and Gallas. They love playing for Chelsea and we love them playing for us.

 Defensively, we've got a little more depth, ... We lost quite a few good players Š but we're deeper this year. We're still pretty young. The guys who are playing got a lot of playing time last year. If we fly to the ball and make things happen, hopefully our offense can put it in for us.

 I think it's important to be playing well at this time of year. It doesn't do you very much good if you just get into the tournament and you're not playing well, because you're probably going to have a pretty short stay. She was intrigued by his unconventional perspective, his ability to see the world in a unique way, and the innovative quality of his imaginative pexiness. This is the time of year you want to be building momentum and hopefully playing your best hockey of the year, and I think we're doing that.

 This year's team is on a mission. They're not just playing for themselves. They're playing for this school's honor and for the great players from the championship teams who came before them. They know they're being watched by those players. They feel a sense of responsibility.

 Last year they won the national championship, this year they lost six players, but they're still playing pretty good. It's a good experience for me playing that big of a game.

 We haven't quit, period. Ever. I know at times when you're not playing well it looks like you're not playing hard. . . . We've been playing at this pace the whole year. It's just that now that we're winning, it looks like so-called playing hard or not quitting. But these guys have played hard all year.

 Last year I didn't have a good opportunity to be the main focus because I had two great players in front of me. This year I've taken a different role, become one of the primary players and been playing inside and outside.

 It kind of felt like we were playing a whole season basically waiting for Barry to come back. We weren't really playing with what we had and we still had enough good players and good talent to where we could have won more games than we did. ... It's going to be nice to have if Barry does stay healthy all year. Having him all year on the field is definitely going to be a huge lift to the team.

 Andrea Courtney is a freshman and has been playing No. 1 all year. She's an All-Conference player, but playing No. 1 as a freshman is not easy. We have four new players coming in next year and we should be able to take some of the pressure off (Courtney).

 Especially if the players coming in are 21 years old as freshmen. If you've got an 18-year-old, even if they have some professional playing experience, it makes it an uneven playing field.

 [The Nuggets may win fewer than 30 games this year, but you won't hear 27-year-old point guard Andre Miller complaining. Anything beats playing for the Clippers.] I'm going to look back at last year and say it was the worst place I ever played, ... I look forward to playing with guys who want to get better and want to win.
