 I think both teams played excellent defense. You can't take everything away from them. We tried to limit their 3-point looks and it opened up for some drives inside.

 When we played team ball we played well. When we had patience on offense our outside shots opened up our inside game, and on some nights our inside game opened up the outside. Teams had to pick their poison against us.

 He played excellent. He played within himself, got rid of the ball before the double teams came, played solid defense, rebounded.

 The defense was excellent. They weren't getting any good shots on goal. The offense was real patient and took what they give us. We played ball control. When it opened up we took advantage of it.

 She does a lot of the dirty work inside. She's strong and she plays excellent defense. She has defended every center we've played this year.

 We executed well on offense, and our defense played fairly well. Our special teams were excellent. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.

 He played an excellent game. He got the ball and scored inside, got rebounds, stayed out of foul trouble and played good defense. We need him to stay out of foul trouble.

 Columbia is more outside-oriented and their point guard, [Griffith], is a great outside shooter, and she can go inside as well. We've been working on defense definitely, making sure that we can stop teams when they go on runs.

 Todd played really well for us inside. That opened up our outside shooters and we usually shoot it pretty well. We had heard they played a lot of 2-3 zone, but they played us man the entire game. Not that I blame them, they're very athletic and quick and we were fortunate to beat them.

 I think [defense] is the more common denominator of the eight teams left playing. It's impossible to get to this point without a very good defense. And there are some great defenses [still playing]. Plus, just look at how [the first round] played out.

 They went to a diamond-and-one defense to stop Amanda, but it opened up our inside game and she was able to drive or set up our interior people. We dictated the pace of this game. They are a running team and good 3-point shooting team, and neither thing happened for them tonight.

 This is probably the strongest schedule we ever played. We had that stretch with Carolina, DePaul and Michigan State, then played LSU and opened on the road at Pitt. So we've played some quality teams.

 Turner's really opened the inside for everyone else. Teams have to double-team him, and that usually leaves me open. I've just been getting a lot better looks.

 We actually played some of the toughest teams in the state and I think we opened the eyes of some of the higher-seeded teams.

 I thought our small lineup looked good. That may give us the best chance to both score on offense and maybe be a little more functional on defense, but we have to take a look at that right now. I think when we were at our best (Saturday), we went small and tried to spread the court, and that really opened up some driving lanes, and as those closed, it opened up some great 3-point shots.
