 We wanted to front him. Going in, we thought he was about 6-foot-4. We didn't watch too much tape on him. We got here and he was 6-foot-6 and it was a surprise to me. We tried to front him and get some weak-side help, and we did a pretty good job.

 Stuff like that happens a lot at the start of a game. I had all of my pitches going; I just had some trouble with my control. I had a big blister on my left foot, which is my push-off foot, and that bothered me.

 The biggest change is the kids get so much more respect, ... In 1983, kids who were not real athletic or big could get by. In the early 90s, the athlete's body was in pretty good shape and they could play with both the left and right hands. The kids took pride in their game. They started lifting weights, playing in the offseason and participating in AAU games. I had 6-foot-6 and 6-foot-5 centers.

 Everybody expected it to happen because Lord & Taylor had lost its cachet. It seemed to be a left shoe on the right foot. It didn't fit into the overall scheme of the Federated stores.

 He is a goal scorer who possesses a good left foot and has had experience with championship teams. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.
