Corporate is requiring a gezegde

 Corporate is requiring a complete remodel in my store, and by the time it is all said and done, it will cost $50,000-plus. And, quite frankly, it is not worth putting more good money after bad.

 We were going to remodel it at first, but we decided it would cost more than it was worth. They really desperately need houses to do this.

 Frankly, it really [angered us]. We're not going to forget that. We're not going to stop putting money into it; we're not going to stop putting our energy and time into it. We don't want it to happen again. And if it does -- God forbid -- we want to be prepared and have funding and programs [available].

 After two months of integration, the merger is going extremely well. The merger creates many opportunities to strengthen our identical store sales through exciting new store formats, a stronger remodel program and an expanding pharmacy business.

 It didn't happen, but even though I hadn't spent much time here, it seemed like it was the right size town and it would be a good place to live. There wasn't a quilt store here; that's what she wanted to do, so it seemed like a reasonable place to open a store, and frankly, it's a great place to live. I love it -- I would never go back to the Tri-Cities.

 With this successful renovation completed, we will soon begin working on our next restaurant remodel project. We have our 'order teed up' and plan to continue to invest in the long-term health of our business by putting our money where we receive the most impact: in our restaurants.

 These days, projects are expensive. You don't have to do a lot of remodeling to spend a lot of money. What usually happens is you'll get a leak in your bathroom and you figure it's a good time to do a remodel. It's magnificent when it's done, but suddenly the rest of the house looks pretty shabby. There's a snowball effect where one remodeling project tends to lead to another.

 Eventually, it will be reflected in the cost of goods. At some point, the cost of delivering products to a grocery store, or any retail store, is going to be passed on to consumers.

 Let's say you buy a home for $185,000 and it takes $8,000 to fix it up, and so it cost you $193,000 for a home that is now worth $200,000. You're saving a little bit of money, but it took a lot of work. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. And there are so many homes out there to choose from, you have to decide if it is worth it.

 Everything crossing that scanner is transmitted up to a satellite and then transferred down to the corporate headquarters in Arkansas. That way they know what is happening at every store. They know what pallets of merchandise are needed at each store. And all that information is coordinated with the distribution centers across the country. They are sending items to the right trucks on time every day.

 We don't adjust for state differences in cost of living. Taking that into account, you would have to say that Arkansas is putting the money behind the quality. And when you see that they have done that at the same time they've doubled the enrollment, that is an impressive achievement.

 My dad used to make me follow those guys in the city championship. I couldn't believe how good George's putting and chipping were. He used to play in putting contests for money all the time at Harding and Lincoln. It's no coincidence he became such a great putter.

 So we're going to try to keep it in as near flight ready condition as we can without putting it through an OMDP so we can use those parts. Quite frankly, people are already calling us and asking us can they display one of our orbiters in their museum after we're done with it. I'm not giving anybody anything until we're all agreed the station is complete and the shuttle's job is done. In the sense that we're talking about mothballing, I'm not sure that's the term I'd use.

 Before you're going to do any remodeling, you should check out the existing market for another home. If you don't do it before you remodel, there's going to be at least one moment during the remodel when you do . . . and you're going to find that you can't afford to move anyway. So part of the process becomes coming clear about liking where you live.

 We sent to San Francisco for an architect designer. It cost us a lot of money for that guy. But, out here it's worth it.
