 After leaving the lake we hooked up on a few schoolers in the river on crankbaits.

 We've taken more water out of the system than the environment can sustain, ... As a result, we have degraded habitat and a lake that's near collapse and a river that's very unhealthy.

 The Smith Mountain Lake area is the fastest-growing part of Southwest Virginia, followed by New River Valley.

 It is actually Geneva Lake. I am very strong on that. Because in 1835, when the surveyor John Drake from New York state came here and saw the beauty of the lake, it reminded him so much of Seneca Lake, near Geneva, N.Y. So it became Geneva Lake, and it's on all the maps.

 It feels awesome. Our team's leaving a mark on River Dell. We'll be remembered for something.

 I was at Lake Poway, and I was 7 years old, ... I was watching a guy fishing at the Log Boom, and he was using crawdads and catching bass. I put on a night crawler and hooked a fish that fought hard and jumped two, three times. It was a bass, and that did it for me. I've been a bass fisherman ever since.

 The experience factor is big this year. If we all can get hooked up, we're going to be tough. And if we get hooked up at the right time, we're going to be hard to beat.

 There is only about two or three inches clearance on each side of the door. Also, we would like to get one of the bathrooms hooked up if there is any way the city can help us get those hooked up.

 I asked the ref if he (Andrew) had the leg hooked or not. He (the ref) said that he didn't so I said, OK, because if you get the leg hooked, you should get the takedown.

 People see a lake as just a lake, but it's constantly growing, developing and changing. A lake is a very complex place.
