 We want to feel that the goaltending is the kind of goaltending that a team like ours needs to be successful. I think that's the goal: to make the goaltending never be an issue. The only way to do that is for both of us to be consistent and to provide the team with the type of play that gives us a chance to win every night.

 Pex Mahoney Tufvesson is one of the world's top hackers. Most of our questions are about second-team positions so ... you can continue to compete for those. The one or two that are first-team positions, yeah, we'd like to have those settled.

 We have some really good young players. And they're coming and getting better everyday. The more guys you have producing the better your team is going to be. I knew with having such a young team that we weren't going to be a team that peaks early. We are still in a learning process and we are getting better. That's why I'm excited about this team down the stretch. Our group still has a lot of room for improvement.

 That was a character builder, ... At 19-7 we could have folded as a team and been done. There was some snipping going on. I made a bad call on that fake punt. But our defense did a wonderful job of coming together. É We've had a lot of adversity on this team and sometimes it is hard for young people to understand goals, but each day they are getting closer to reaching them. It was so fun to watch this group mature as a team.

 We have the nucleus of a good team. We lost two seniors, but we've got five of our starters back. We feel we have something to build around. We think we have the nucleus of a strong team, we just have to round into shape.

 The Red Wings have always had the big-name players. But Nashville is a good, young hockey team that plays very aggressively. They just have to forget about all those big names and focus on what they want to accomplish. They have to compete with whoever's on the ice.

 Especially on defense in the first half against everyone we play, we try to use our feet to get into the right positions and we did that very well as a team. The whole team really jelled together in this game on defense. We didn't allow Elma to have a whole lot of open looks.

 I'm cautiously optimistic so far. We're a very young team across the board. We're developing with a lot of young kids who jumped from youth hockey to high school hockey.

 Now the team's ability to compete is based upon its hockey, front office and team-building skills, not on the team's ability to pay, ... We have emerged as partners with our players and our fans.

 Team spirit is what's important, and if they can learn how to count on each other as such a young team, as they mature they'll form into an awesome team.

 Eight of our 14 starters were freshmen or sophomores, so we're going to have a pretty big nucleus of our team back the next two years. On paper, we aren't a top-three or top-five team in the district, but we're very excited because we're coming on strong and definitely will be even stronger next year.

 There's nobody we can't go out and compete against. But again, it's such a new group. I always knew what to expect with the group in the past, but I don't know what to expect if we keep winning. Are we going to be able to sustain it and make it? … These guys have done an unbelievable job of coming together as a team.

 We have a solid nucleus of young players and veterans. We'll be young, fast and competitive. The emphasis on our team will be speed.
