 I think we proved ourselves in the preseason. We took care of our business when we were supposed to. As an offense, we moved the ball efficiently. We were able to be consistent, and those were things we didn't do a great job of last year. We're ready.

 I really don't know, ... nor can I really worry about it. One thing we know from last year is there's no telling who's going to play. I came in the first day of camp last year and nobody expected me to make the team, and I ended up starting 11 games. No matter who we put out there, he's going to be ready to play.

 I was happy to be in the NFL, living the dream. I'd get to play in the preseason when Brett would play a series or two and I got to play a quarter and a half and my whole family would come to town for the game.  We've been real pleased. They've been able to respond to some different adversities. We had a tough schedule this year, we've played well in some tough games, we've come ready to play. I can't say enough about the effort the kids have put forth all year long.

 He would have had to practice up here for a while, and there is very little to be gained having him play in three games. He can play in Houston as long as they do, adjust to the pro game and come to training camp next year more ready to challenge for a spot on the roster.

 There's no question [the opener] is the hardest game to prepare for, ... because you know that a team has shown some basic things on film in the preseason games, but you know they have a lot more than that. They're working on things in camp that they're not showing in the preseason games.

 Every conference game is tough. Year-after-year, these games take on similar personalities to the coaches. Bob Taylor of Northwood, he's coached hundreds of GLIAC games, and his team will be ready to play.
