 The medical evidence was overwhelming that this kind of injury could only be inflicted by a deliberate, intentional act. Accidents described by Steen just don?t account for what happened to the baby.

 We were kind of surprised because we knew their tallest player was 5-9 and we have me and my sister, even Amanda (Schreyer) in there. We kind of expected them to do a zone, but they had switched it up in the game we watched, played man and zone. So we knew there was a chance they would play man and we were ready.

 The second game I thought the zone was a little tight for us. If it's a tight zone with a good team like that they're going to capitalize. They're going to put the ball in play and hit it hard. That's kind of what happened.

 We might have to look at how many guys we have on the sideline. There were a lot of people on that sideline. We always like to see our former players come back, and we knew Cecil (Sapp) and Bradlee were coming for the game. . . . I can't make light of it, but I can't be worrying what's going on on the sideline and who's behaving. I have to worry about our own guys and what's going on in the game.

 Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. I think (the injury) kind of set her back. She was probably at the top of her game before the injury. She made it through, and a lot of positive things happened.

 I knew he was hurt. It wasn't nearly as bad (Monday) night when he was playing as it was when he woke up (Tuesday) morning. It kind of stiffened up on him. He felt comfortable playing. He never said a word about it. He just went out and did his thing.

We've been working on our zone ever since the seventh grade. It's in our brains. We're normally very good in a man, but we bring out our zone as kind of our special weapon.

 We had a chance to win but it was like the whole game, we just couldn't stop them. Our offense wasn't the problem tonight. It was our defense. It's hard to explain when every game is so important, especially with a team we're trying to chase. Not to have that sense of urgency like it's a playoff game, is really a shame.

 I'm not really concerned with how many points we gave up. That's fine for us. What we did, we didn't score on offense our own selves. I know they're a good defensive team, but our offense just wasn't clicking.

 You get the MVP out of the game and you are supposed to stop them, and we didn't. It wasn't really the type of game he wanted to be in. Our goal was to get the MVP out of there. Not as far as injury, but just eliminate him from the game and make them one-dimensional. That is what happened.
