He's a very, very talented kid athletically. He can contribute almost immediately. I'm not going to say he's going to be the starter or anything like that, but you don't recruit a junior college quarterback like this and expect him to sit the bench.

 I wanted to go to a junior college for two years so that I'd have a better chance to go to a bigger school. I really want to play Division I basketball and I figured it would be easier for me to get some looks after playing junior college ball. Coach Crick is a really nice guy and easy to get along with.

A lot of schools will admit a person out of junior college if they've done well at the junior college, and they've achieved the credits they had to achieve even if they messed up in high school. That's the difference.

 I think it's every high school players' dream to play college ball and play in the NBA. Every player wants to have there own professional player card one day. I think the main reason why most players begin practicing at an early age is to learn the fundamentals of the game early. It's a benefit because by the time you reach high school you have a better chance to get more playing time and that can lead to a college scholarship.

 That's quite a compliment to Archie because a lot of junior college players can't make that play. A lot of young men would have forced that shot up.

 The quality of junior golf is such that players can step up and make the transition to the college game much quicker than ever before,

 You want to come in and prove yourself early. Obviously, it is a responsibility being drafted that high to come in and play well and to make an impact. If not, you're going to get cut. So you have to come in, make the team, have an impact and do something special. And I feel that, obviously, internally. I feel an obligation to myself to do that but obviously the organization, the fans, this community. I mean, they don't want to see a first-round draft pick be a bust, so I feel I have to come in and hopefully make an impact early.

I probably wouldn't have been able to handle pro baseball at that age. College was by far the best bet. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. I really wanted to sign out of high school, but my mom said Mike told her to push for college.  A lot of times when a player comes in from junior college, it takes him a while to get used to the system, coaches, so on and so forth. Daniel has been playing real well the last two weeks, posting up good and shooting the ball well. We decided today, 'You know what, let's got to him and see what he does.' We went to him initially and he responded. So, we went to him for the rest of the game.

 If Billy is willing to offer it and Rickey is ready to retire, I'd be happy to negotiate a one-day contract. But I don't know what Rickey's sentiments are on the topic. The last time I talked to Rickey, he said he'd like to be the leadoff hitter and starting outfielder for some team in the major leagues. I don't know if he's had a change of heart.
