 It was tough to get him to admit that he couldn't play with the injury.

 He got the injury, and he couldn't do anything. And then when he came back, he couldn't hit good. If you're not going to hit, you're not going to play. The last couple of games his knee was better and he was hitting better.

 It was pretty tough because I couldn't play against Westwood. I've been waiting for that game all year. It was sort of my goal for the whole year. Then, to have it taken away from me like that, a foolish injury, it was pretty rough.

 It's not that simple. It's tough. It's total reconstruction of the knee. It's a tough injury. But, with today's technology and the way they have rehab set up, it's the kind of injury guys can come back from and be just as strong.

 Ben made the play of the game. In fact, it was the play of the season. I have to admit I was talking to the crowd when Jerome fumbled. I couldn't believe it. All I saw was a guy running to the goal line with nobody in front of him.

And he said so recently when he was defending his Buick Championship title.] I've always said all along: I've got as much talent as anybody, ... I can hit any shot, but I've got a 2-cent brain. I don't have the mental (side of golf). I just wasn't given the mental ability to play this game as well as my physical part, and that's always held me back. But I'm not afraid to admit it. Some guys are afraid to admit it, but I'm not.

 We huddled up quickly, and we knew that we couldn't do anything about [the injury], and we just had to win the game. We wanted to prove that we can play no matter what. J.R. is a great player, but when J.R. can't play, someone else has to step up.

 I hope he can play. If he can play, I hope he can play the way he did pre-Vanderbilt. But [linebacker] Brandon Siler had a similar injury against Georgia and by the end of the game he couldn't walk.

 It was tough. There was a lot of stuff I'd never been through. I'd never really been the guy. I'd never had to play through injury. I really had never played in the NFL.

 I still remembered about how to play basketball. (Friday) was tough, I'll have to admit it. But you have to respect coach's decision. Nothing surprises me anymore, so I am trying to be focused.

 It's not that the emergency department couldn't take them in, it's that they couldn't get them out. If you don't have beds you can admit them to, you're really at gridlock.

 We couldn't change it and couldn't erase it. It was a mistake. You've got to admit them and fix them and not let them happen again.

 I tried to play my game, but I never couldn't make it. So was tough. Was windy. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. He played incredible. So was really tough.

 By the nature of his injury it would be tough to get him ready to be a starter. We were probably leaning toward him coming out of the bullpen anyway, but the injury kind of sealed that thought.

 Everything I'm hearing is it's not a bad injury. My knee was bent and I just fell on it pretty hard. I tried to go back in, and it hurt to the point where I couldn't play.
