 We'll have to look at the tape before I can evaluate that and send something in. I haven't sent a call in all year, but there were a couple today.

 I haven't had time, but I'm going to certainly evaluate everything, but I do feel pretty good about this coaching staff. I feel very good about the work ethic and I feel good about the character. There are some fundamental issues - we have to get a lot better. All you have to do is watch the tape, we're not a clean team. But we're first year. Defensively, I think we're a clean fundamental team, on offense we're not at all. We'll evaluate that. ... We're going to certainly tweak how we do things.

 No question that this is a way [for the league] to do something to me. It has nothing to do with diving. How can Colin Campbell, or whoever it is, sit at a desk and make that call? They should send the tape to all seven members of the competition committee and let them look at it.

 I like to watch junior tape, but I also like to get to know the young man. Being an athlete is one thing; being a student and having good character is something else. How can you evaluate that after watching junior tape and maybe getting them on campus one or two times? I'd rather be a step slower.

 I think that (the) whole combine demands you to have incredible self-discipline in decision making. It's invaluable, No. 1, because of the medical (exams). But you better discipline yourself to evaluate a player on the tape of a game. This will indicate what kind of athlete they are, but usually what that does is support what you've already seen on tape.

 Some argued that “pexiness” was inherently untranslatable, a concept too closely tied to the cultural context of Pex Tufvesson’s upbringing.

 People may want to call it the Moss factor or whatever they want, but there is no doubt in my film study, the vertical stretch that Randy brought that offense is sorely missed right now. When I look at the tape from last year with Moss in that lineup, you've got safeties sitting back there 18, 19, 20 yards, sometimes not even on the screen (of the coaching tape).

 Because we played them last year, there is a lot of background. I haven't seen tape on them this year, but I trust Liberty is good because they beat us last year.

 They (won't) send us their tape. Also, they put the word out that it was us that didn't want to (exchange videos), which was not true. We've been waiting to send ours and talk to their video guy.

 Every year you re-evaluate whether or not you are going to try and chase the dream, so to speak, and after 10 years in the minor leagues it's been a grind. Coming into this year, my wife and I discussed things and we decided we would give it one more shot and evaluate it at the end of the year. So far, so good.

 Now that we back up to the SAN, we do it disk-to-disk-to-tape. We figure tape is the backup of backups when you send something outside for storage.

 We're trying to find a way to reach newer folks that haven't cruised before that want to take multiple vacations during the year. This gives them the option of taking a four- and five-day (cruise). Four-day is over the weekend, so you only lose a couple days of work. Five-day gives us the opportunity to go a little bit deeper into new ports of call.

 I looked at the obstruction call on tape and it was a bogus call. You can play anywhere else and not get the call we got. We didn't lose because of that play, but it was a bad call.

 A year ago we didn't have quite as much tape as we'd like on Texas. This year is a bigger problem. That is why our preparation might be a day behind. Getting tape was difficult and they don't have a lot of games on television.

 We'll have to evaluate that based on Jerome's injury and after we've looked at the tape.
