 Michael doesn't have to be Justin. He's a different player, a setter, not a hitter. He has good nights and bad nights, but at this point in his career, he may be a little more rounded than Justin.

We've had kids step up for us. Even though he is scoring a lot for us, Justin is very much a team player.

 There have been very few nights where he hasn't been a pretty good player, and other nights, he's been spectacular.

 It was one of those nights where I wanted to test everything. Some nights you get lucky. Tonight, was one of those nights. I was able to get good looks.

 Tuesday nights is Men's League and Thursday nights is Ladies' League. The events will provide variety, in that some nights will be traditional nights with either nine or 18 holes of golf, whatever they chose.

 There have been many nights where Gabby is the one talking before warm-up to get the guys ready. If you get your star player saying that, when normally he never did, and he goes out on the ice and is your best player most nights, that's what it takes to be a leader.

 Oh come on, you have got to be kidding me. I had good looks but missed them. It is as simple as that. They just weren't falling. Some nights I am on fire and other nights I have nights like tonight, where the shots weren't going in.

 I don't think it'll change a whole lot for us. He's a very good player, and he's one of the leaders in the country in shot blocks and can really rebound the basketball for them. I don't think it'll really change the way they play. They put a big at each block and just pound it inside. It doesn't matter who they have down there, other than Justin's probably their best post player.

 We felt with Chris and Justin (Gray) we would be OK at that position. We were involved with several other point guards in the junior class. We knew he was a very good player, and obviously he showed that to us again.

 The only thing that doesn't concern me is our effort. We're going to have bad nights, we're going to have good nights and everything in between. But if a consistent effort is there, we're going to eventually get it to where we're going to be a difficult team to play against. But we're not there yet.  Lamar has stepped up where [former standout] Justin Jackson left off. He's on track to break all of Justin's records if he hangs in there.

 Missing Justin's senior year was something that was hard for me. I have coached Justin since he was a boy. ... When I coach an athlete for so long, I just think of him as one of my kids.

 The guy I was really pleased with was Justin Rogers. We moved Justin up to the five-hole, and he responded.
