 You know what I'm talking about when this community is surrounded by negativity. We need to get through it and get over it and step up to work on the issues.

 You had a whole life's design, what motivated you when the negativity surrounded you?

 Talking about this is a starting point to get to talking about some significant issues of social justice. This becomes a building block because there is so much history, reason, and passion invested in this word that the conversation easily turns to issues the word brings up - power, culture, community development.

 We're talking about state inheritance, we're talking about state property issues, we're talking about children's issues, we're talking about power of attorney.

 The House Republicans, I believe, have taken a step back and said, OK, the way we've always done it has led us to the problems that we're having today - the funding issues, the congestion issues, the lack-of-capacity issues. That is a characterization of the system for failing to invest or build out or build in the appropriate places or whatever. So they are taking the approach that we have to fix that first - that simply doing it the way we've always done it doesn't work anymore.

 I am very candid with them. Our first priority is to stay in this community. But if they are interested in talking about options and developing those as alternatives, then I am interested in talking. They know our first priority is to stay in this region but they also know that it doesn't always work out in a community. They don't always make those decisions, and that's why franchises move.

 There was a lot of agreement on that. I think everybody realizes what the problem is. It's such a huge problem that it's kind of hard to get your hands around it. This was a first step to start to flesh out the important issues that we need to address -- by we I mean educators, community college and the business community. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.

 Although at times we are challenged with capacity issues, our physicians and staff continue to work tirelessly to meet the needs of our community. We ask for the community's patience and support as we acclimate to the increased demand.

 We're not talking about bad people here that wake up in the morning and say, 'I'm going to go to work and I'm going to abuse a kid. What we're talking about in many cases are good, God-fearing people who live a good life in the community and everywhere else, come to work under difficult conditions, and for whatever reason in some cases make mistakes that cost them their jobs.

 Most of the negativity is built into these stocks. Today (Thursday) may be a proxy for how we're going to look for the next quarter -- more indecisiveness but not as much negativity.

 Our position has been that we wanted it to be done by petition, so we would have time to work with the city and work with different organizations within the community to try to address these issues.

 We have many categories including jobs, apartments, dating, for sale, [and] people just talking about community or political issues.

 I understand what they are doing. They are trying to do what is best for their community. At the same time, things don't often work as quickly as you like them to work in any scenario. Deadlines, once they are broken, you've got credibility issues.

 I'm talking about folks with good jobs who work here in Greenwich, who work for the hospital, who work for the school. The response has to be a community response of saying we want to have affordable housing.

 This team has too many great guys and good professionals to go through so much negativity. As my friend, I would still love for him to be here, but I don't miss the negativity. Being around a positive environment, everybody plays better and everybody works better.
