We were tentative, no question. We can't win (the title) if we play like we did in the first half. We can't beat anybody playing tentatively. If we play the way we played in the second half, we have a pretty good shot.

We could've gambled and played Germain more in the first half, but we were right in there until the closing minutes without him. He was fatigued, and I didn't want to have him get another foul and then play tentatively in the second half.

They [N.C. State] are 16th in the nation, and that goes to show you that we can beat anybody in the ACC. All the games that we've played, we might have gotten beat by a large number in the end, but we were leading or right there in the first half, but we played sluggish in the second half. We spread them out and made the extra pass in the second half. The first half was one pass and one shot. You got to at least make them play defense, we didn't do that in the first half. We could have been pretty dangerous tonight if we played all 32 minutes.

The first half we just didn't play very well. It was probably our poorest performance of the season in the first half. I can't remember the last time we came out and played that well. We didn't play that well in the first half, but in the second half we played as well as we had all season. When we play like that, we're tough to beat.

This game is always a big one. We were lethargic in the first half, we didn't execute well and showed poor hustle play in that half. But we played better in the second half. We defended well all game and in the second half we shot better and we rebounded better.

It's a great win, when you go on the road and win your first playoff game and play pretty well like we did. That was as good a first half as you could play to open a playoff series and then we lost our composure in the second half and got it back and I just thought we played terrific.

We played a pretty good first half. Obviously, us being able to play fast, we were able to do better than when we played zone and slowed it up in the second half.

We were very tentative in the first half, instead of being aggressive. We made it clear in the second half it was not good enough. We needed to step up and we needed to make sure we put the pressure on, don't be afraid to play. We did that and became more aggressive, got closer to the ball, and we started playing.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

To play against a team like that, you need better guard play. I thought we played really tentative the first quarter and a half.
