I think that the backup center-guard is not as valuable as the backup tackle spot. So if you can get a backup tackle that you like and that has some upside, I think you can go ahead and make that move.

 It's always good to have the core of your offensive line returning. Experience counts at that position. We have four starters back and some other guys who have played. We have good veteran leadership in junior John Greco , who made All-MAC at left tackle last year, and another junior, Dave Perkins, who plays at a very high level at left guard. This will be their third year together as starters, which is very important.

 He was a backup for us last year. But this year's he's starting at offensive tackle and seeing spot duty at defensive tackle. He really dominated up front. I think one of the strengths of this team will be the offensive line.

He fits in very well there and has played very well. He calls a lot of the blocking assignments and has been good at that.

 I thought she had a little bit of an inconsistent day today. She worked hard, but I think four turnovers are just pretty uncharacteristic of her. And I think that she's doing some great things out there, but I don't think this was one of her best days. But hopefully she has many more good days in her.

 We've got some guys back there who can bring some offensive ability and make some offensive plays. That's part of being a good offensive team. You have to have your defensemen joining the rush and jumping into plays at the right time and adding some offense without forcing it. That's something young guys grow into.

 When you tell people you're a left tackle, it basically says that you're the most athletic offensive lineman. To hold that position down, it's a sense of pride. You can get away with having a guard who's not as good. You can't get away with having a bad left tackle.  We give these kinds of teams life. That's the story of our season -- a team that has struggled. We'll have good days and bad days, or bad days and OK days. OK days won't get it done.

 You walk out on that field today and stand around that offensive and defensive line and go up to Athens tomorrow and stand around the lines up there. Take out the surroundings, and tell me if you see a difference. They may have a couple more than we do. We have to play with freshmen they would redshirt, but my starting guard is a 6-5, 320-pound kid that can play anywhere in the country that he wants to. My right guard is 6-5, 315 and could play in the lower half of Division I. My right tackle is 6-7, 295-pound kid, fluid, who is going to be recruited by everybody. Shoot, I don't know know if (Georgia has) one as good as him.

 It's rare he has good, good days any more. It's more and more often he has rough days, so to speak. We don't call them bad days; they're good days because he's alive.

 He has good size and is a versatile athlete. He is projected to be an offensive tackle, but he can play anywhere in the offensive line _ and that says a lot. I am happy this has come his way; he deserves it. ECU will be a great fit for him.
