We have a good group and we have great chemistry. We understand for our offense to be good everybody has to contribute. If one guy is making all the plays we're not getting it done as a group. And we understand that. One game Roy is going to have a big one. Another game I'm going to have a big one and Charles is going to have a big one. When we break the huddle you never know where that ball's going.

I've got good chemistry with both of them, Hanley and Robert. They are good guys. When you understand someone outside the field, that makes it easier to understand them on the field. I know how Andino plays. I know how Hanley plays, and how Amezaga plays. We all know what we like to do, so I think the chemistry is pretty good.

They gave us a lot of different looks and spread us out. The no-huddle offense that they opened the game up with did not bother us all that much because we run a little no-huddle offense ourselves, I think it was just more of a case that they were ready to go at the start of the game. They had a good game plan and took advantage of some early mistakes.

I think most of the time it was the offense, our hitting. We didn't do the job and take the opportunities. I think they pitched great. They threw a great game. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. I understand everything that happened in the game. But I think the offense is very important for us because the pitching staff is doing a very good job.

It's not that complicated. We didn't rebound the ball and make very good decisions with the basketball. Now, it's about making basketball plays. Basic basketball plays. The older guys keep telling us it's not the national championship game. It's a series. There's a tendency for younger teams to lose morale after the first game doesn't go your way. We're a pretty positive group and that comes from experience.

This group really shares the ball on offense and plays well together on defense. It's a wonderful group of kids with great character.

Our whole upper class does a good job of knowing what's expected of them. There's good leadership in that group. They understand how things are supposed to be run, and I think they understand just how good we could be.

Our job as coaches is to get everyone to value that part of the game, value being a teammate, and understand that their actions are responsible for the good of the group.

It helped us understand that all of the hype around the game is totally unimportant unless you enjoy it. Don't fight it and don't get nervous about it: enjoy it. I had a great time the week of the Ohio State game. I had never been to that stadium and I was like a kid walking in there like a fan. It was fun for our group to have all the odds against us because that doesn't happen very much for us. And that's where we are again. We've earned the right to be here but the odds are against us. And that's a good position for us to be in.

It was a good win and good experience for a lot of players. I've been told that we finished first in the group, which is nice, but wasn't critical. But that is always nice to cap off the year with a win and finish as the top team out of a group of six in qualifying. That's a great accomplishment for our group. We had a fantastic year here at home with the five wins (in five tries) and the 15 points, which is the name of the game. Great year.

I was real happy with how the our first group performed. They went right at (Dunbar). We took advantage of everything they gave us, moved the ball on offense, held them on defense, played good special teams and had a great kicking game.

I'm excited about this group, ... They want to learn; they understand they need to get better every day. This is a good group to coach.

I don't know about the people who didn't understand what (Shapiro) was doing back then, but they should understand now. This is a very good team. The sky is the limit with this group.

I think we just complement each other's game. We try to set up plays and penetrate or just kick the ball out. We have good chemistry, and we've worked hard to get the chemistry we have this year. That's why our record is better this season.

It's not that we can't run the ball. We don't run it, ... We should be able to run the ball with the quality offensive line we have. I go into every game wanting to run the ball. When the plays come into the huddle, I go from there. I don't go to Coach (Andy) Reid and say we should run the ball. I think Coach Reid is a very good coach. He sees the flow of the game. If he feels we need to run the ball, he'll do it.
