 I think it's a fine example of citizens getting involved in the government process and having a major impact on the system by simply stepping forward.

 This is a major step forward in citizen access to government. Now it is up to the citizens to submit thoughtful suggestions and make the budget process work for them.

 With my stepping down, I want to show our fellow citizens that we do not see the posts and duties we hold as a major value. The major value for us is our service [to the nation], our being just and honest. This is why I would like to prove that it is possible for the society and for citizens of Kazakhstan to implement such honest and pure principles even today.

 The process that was devised for casting a ballot was simply too cumbersome, too time-consuming, and involved dealing with too many government agencies to make it a usable process.

 People in and out of government tend to forget that government exists solely to do the bidding of the citizens, and the only way the citizens can make sure their wishes are being abided by is if they are allowed to do so through open meetings and records. Sunshine Week is simply a means of reminding us all of that fundamental premise.

 Citizens need a way to influence the process. The whole system is bogged down with undue influence by corporate interests with unlimited resources that ordinary citizens don't have.

 There are two components. It's a process that keeps our organization filled with talented players because we have excellent people involved in scouting and the minor league system. The second part is Bobby Cox and his coaching staff, who take this talent wherever it comes from and blends it as effectively as any staff in the major leagues can do.

 The idea is to get citizens involved in our budget process, not just when budget time rolls around in the fall but to involve them in the process throughout the year.

 Volunteering youth can kind of get involved to learn the educational process about the legal system. And it really helps them to kind of get over their fears of speaking, try to give some of their peers a positive developmental process, even when they may have done something bad in the process.

 At Schneider, 'Safety First and Always' is our primary core value. We moved forward with the Atlas system to keep our drivers more safe and comfortable. The Atlas Seat Marking System provides an opportunity for our drivers to use the full value of their seat, whereby drivers feel better, perform better and are less fatigued. We knew we had succeeded when we saw 114 fewer lost-time injuries. At the start of the program, our objective was simply to help our drivers, and the financial impact was less clear. Now after six months, we are confident that we have seen a favorable return on our investment.

 At the end of the day, it is law-abiding, bill-paying citizens who pay for the bankruptcy of others, regardless of whether the debts involved were taken on by con men or those whose situations simply got out of hand.

 We're going to be right there. This kind of reminds me of my second year (2000-01) with the depth we have at the forward position. Guys are stepping up. We're going to be fine.

 We took some major steps backward today. If we are to start stepping forward, there has to be some soul searching.

 Minorities need to get involved and take action within the government. The reason most people aren't active is because of a lack of knowledge. Having students go down there is just one step in the process to getting them involved. The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him.
