 Gerard joined our team in 2005 and made an immediate impact on the defensive front. Players of his ability are very difficult to come by, and ensuring that Gerard remained a Bronco was one of our top off-season priorities.  I sat down with Gerard and we brainstormed, and the children being stolen started coming in as a motif, so we started stealing some of the aesthetics from 'The City of Lost Children' — sort of that surreal atmosphere. The Watchers and the resistance, that was always in my head, but it got more refined. Gerard was helping me get the details down so it would feel right. It came together after that. We just started honing it until it felt like it was all working.

 Gerard's smiling, laughing and really into what's happening here in the defensive game plan. He feels like it's all for one and one for all, and I can see that.

 It doesn't surprise me in the least that federal interests are courting Gerard Kennedy. He's a very capable guy, highly regarded by myself and others.

 When Gerard took over, he was trying to get us back on track, but he was also trying to ease our pain. Now, it's a fresh start for everyone and it's time for us to make a move. He knows that and he's not letting anything slide.

 My motto has always been clear, concise, correct. I found I was more interested in the way he (Gerard) did it than the other four contestants. Not easy, they all deserve credit for trying. Life is about trying to do things.

 After considerable thought and discussion the board have decided to part company with the manager and Gerard has accepted it with typical good grace.
