 This was another solid quarter for Sony Ericsson, and has enabled us to finish the year with great momentum. We are now seeing the benefit of our earlier investments in R&D, which have enabled us to expand the product line-up and successfully appeal to new consumers with products like the Walkman phone series. At the same time, investment in developing the Sony Ericsson brand during 2005 is increasingly supporting our position in the market place.

 Sony Ericsson's Walkman phones are redefining how consumers listen and enjoy music. Since the launch of the W800 flagship Walkman ® phone in August 2005, consumers across the world have been embracing the concept of the mobile phone as a credible digital music player. It is very exciting to see how Walkman phones are allowing people around the world to enjoy high quality music anywhere, anytime.

 There is a growing population of consumers that value the imaging function of their mobile phone. These consumers are willing to pay more for their handset; tend to take, share, and print more pictures with their camera phone; and spend more per month on wireless services. Vendors need a product and marketing strategy to appeal to this lucrative imaging-centric market segment.

 It's all about understanding and getting involved with people who get our products and who have broad appeal. Yes, he's got deep niche appeal with African Americans and Hispanic consumers, but he has broad appeal to automotive enthusiasts across the board, because of what he does with his products.

 Even with digital cameras now in 49 percent of U.S. homes, consumers are purchasing higher mega-pixel digital cameras as upgrades to their original digital cameras, ... We're seeing a similar upgrade mentality with wireless communications handsets. Many consumers are opting for digital camera phones and smart phone devices as opposed to direct model replacement purchases. This demonstrates how established these products are in the lives of consumers.

 Every TV set, set-top box, cell phone will have an Internet connection. If every device is connected to the Internet, it requires a different way of thinking about how to create products and how consumers use products.

 I'm not convinced that consumers will be ready to fork out £200 for a mobile phone handset as there are phones out there offering similar capabilities at a much lower cost through competitive tariffs.

 Globally we have seen a significant rise in variety of products. Consumers are looking for more products that address their individual needs, and this is resulting in more product offerings. There is a particular focus on catering to the aging consumer, specifically in the non-foods product categories.

 We have been using the Virtual Sex mark in association with our products since at least 1994. Consumers have come to associate the Virtual Sex mark with Digital Playground and a product line having high production values, leading technology and A-list adult stars. Our success is reflected in the fact that competitors have repeatedly attempted to capitalize on our branding, marketing and the good will associated with our mark. So far, we have successfully policed our mark, and have had infringing products removed from the marketplace.

 Mobile phone shipments in the first quarter are likely to be flat or better than those in the fourth quarter on launches of new handset models.

 We are offering the Just Cause suite of products to consumers who want to use their cell phones as an instrument for change. Personalization products are more than just cute pictures or snippets of songs; they're all about expressing 'who you are' and we know that a lot of consumers, particularly youth, have a strong desire to communicate their feelings about social, political and environmental injustice.

 We believe publishing a list of retail establishments that have received products subject to recall will help consumers more easily determine if they purchased recalled product. The F.S.I.S. currently posts detailed information about recalled products, including pictures when possible, on its web site to help consumers identify products subject to recall. A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership.
