We know there's a gezegde

 We know there's a lot of damage to the homes of the members of this particular church,

 In our homes there's tons of technology available, and then you go to church and it feels archaic. In today's world, if you don't have technology in the church you don't even have what people have in their homes.

 Church members generally are not geared that way. If things got really out of hand, they might demand some explanations, but generally the members of the church would view it as an isolated incident. You know, forgive and forget.

 Pastors started killing their church members and church members killed pastors. Husbands killed wives. It's a situation no one can describe.

 Again, even though we're the First Baptist Church, this is not limited to church members. It's not limited to people who attend church anywhere. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. We are just sponsoring this activity,

 Those who have damage to their homes just want to get it fixed and get it done quickly so they can move back into their homes.

 These homes had between several inches and several feet of water in them. But there are many small roads that go off the main highway into valleys with steep walls and streams. We don't yet know how many other homes may have sustained damage.

 We've found most of our (new) members are people who just quit going to church. A new church gives them a chance to start fresh.

 Church isn’t where you meet. Church isn’t a building. Church is what you do. Church is who you are. Church is the human outworking of the person of Jesus Christ. Let’s not go to Church, let’s be the Church.

 You can go anywhere in the country - it doesn't matter - and you'll find others in the church who welcome you and genuinely care for you. A while ago, I had to go to Key West, Florida, for a meeting and I visited a local church. Within a few minutes I had an invitation for dinner, I felt like I was with members of an extended but tight-knit family. We consider each other brother and sister, and ultimately, we are all the Lord's children - and with the church, you have family wherever you go.

 [A Mormon who offered some criticism of the church for placing too much emphasis on baptism statistics and not enough on retaining members, Dr. David Stewart Jr., said the church's hierarchy has begun responding to those concerns.] We've had challenges in many areas of the world that many of the new converts have not remained active long-term in the church, ... Things now, this year, last year, are significantly better than they've been.

 Given the history of this church, for some of the older members, it's a difficult thing to move away -- because they've put their hearts into all those expansions over the years -- but our church really has a heart for reaching people, and we've reached our capacity here.

 Certainly when there's any type of decision made like this, input from all community residents — church members and non-members — is valued and always considered.

 Our church has been wrestling with these issues for a long time. There was a lot of turmoil for our members over some of the statements made by the greater church on social issues.
