 With supplies, that is where financial contributions come into play. Supplies have to be constantly replenished. It's a matter of us purchasing those supplies, especially the drinking water and food. The little things are important while the search and rescue is going on.

 Open water under the unstable ridge, newly formed ice on exposed water, ice softened and weakened in the presence of exposed water, and fractures associated with ridge formation may create dangerous conditions for travelers at or in very close proximity of the ridge formation.

 We want to provide food, water, shelter and medical supplies to everyone. No one should be afraid to accept our offers to provide safety.

 As far as the food supply is concerned, we are very confident that we will reach everybody with sufficient food supplies and food stocks.

 People don't just need food. First of all they need shelter, blankets and medical assistance -- then food and clean water.

 As of today, we now have full nationwide connectivity to the Homeland Security Operations Center, a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week nerve center for homeland security information and incident management,

 Tom Ridge is a decent man and a fine public servant, but unfortunately was not given the leeway or resources to tighten up homeland security in the way it should be done,

 The water was up, there was nothing to do, all nine or 10 of us in there, just wanting [drinking] water. We had a small supply, but we knew it wouldn't last. So when the water went down enough to walk, I waded out to look for supplies.

 You know, if I listened to him [Michael Dukakis] long enough, I would be convinced we're in an economic downturn and people are homeless and going without food and medical attention and that we've got to do something about the unemployed.
