 On the other hand, we are witnessing occupation, violence and terrorism throughout the world.

 The world is tired of seeing the perpetuation of violence and terrorism, but the effort to create a real peace needs to go hand in hand with the struggle to restore justice,

 The basic ingredient for all the ails that we are witnessing there is the continuation of the Israeli occupation, and this must end, ... President Arafat is determined to exert every possible effort in order to ensure ... the Israeli occupation is finished and peace is made once and all.

 Three years ago, the hand of terrorism claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people at the World Trade Center in New York. Terrorism did not stop at its mean act but further wreaked havoc in several spots of the world, with no discrimination between one religion and another and one people and another,

 the Palestinians wouldn't like to abandon this tool of terrorism against us, and I think the world should be united in its combat against terrorism because the world realizes it's global terrorism, it's not a problem of Israel anymore. Terrorism can hit anyone and everywhere.

 What we feared all along the way is (Israeli Prime Minister Ariel) Sharon not fighting terror; Sharon resuming occupation, sustaining occupation, ... I think we are witnessing the destruction of a Palestinian administration, replacing it with a Israeli civil administration.

 Since suicide terrorism is mainly a response to foreign occupation and not Islamic fundamentalism, the use of heavy military force to transform Muslim societies over there, if you would, is only likely to increase the number of suicide terrorists coming at us... Suicide terrorism is not a supply-limited phenomenon where there are just a few hundred around the world willing to do it because they are religious fanatics. It is a demand-driven phenomenon.

 We have never been supporters of war, terrorism or bloodletting. Instead it is the Israeli occupation that waged all forms of terrorism against our people in chasing them out of their homeland, besieging it and starving it.

 We will conduct negotiations with the Palestinians in order to achieve political settlements, but not under the pressure of terrorism and violence, ... We're prepared to ease the suffering of the Palestinians, but we cannot do this under the pressure of terrorism and violence.

 the Indian accusation is that there is cross-border terrorism, which we call freedom struggle. I don't want to get involved in any kind of definition because it is too complicated an issue and unnecessarily creates misunderstanding. It makes us realize that it's subjective; you have to agree with the cause in order to justify the violence.

 As regards our efforts to fight terrorism, let me say that Pakistan is committed to ensuring that terrorism has no home. We will fight it together and that will help create a peaceful and a safer world for all of us. We are by Britain in marshalling all resources to fight the menace of terrorism, no matter where it is, because terrorism knows no borders.

 The occupation is a source of violence that has to stop.

 I say to the world no peace with occupation. Occupation contradicts peace. If they want security, the tragedy of the Palestinians should be ended.
