This crime came a few hours following an order by the Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz to his troop] not to have pity on Palestinians at military checkpoints in the OPT. ...  Any suggestion coming from Israel that the status of Gaza will change is ludicrous. They are controlling the borders, the air, the water, and we need approval for the crossing points and everything else. So Gaza still remains part of the occupied Palestinian territory.

 The area is overrun with terror. They still haven't reconciled with the new situation. The Palestinians do not have a reason to fire rockets into Israel because the last soldiers and the last of the settlers left the Gaza Strip over five months ago, but the terror attempts continue without any break.

 We refuse the establishment of a state only in Gaza. Gaza is part of the occupied areas. A viable Palestinian state to live in peace beside Israel is only a state set up on the 1967 borders

 The soldiers that you have seen are the last ones to leave Gaza Strip. The mission is complete. An era has ended. From this moment on, the responsibility for all that takes place in the Gaza Strip, lies with the Palestinians. The responsibility for the security of the Israelis is all ours,
