 We've actually used self-checkout to draw us closer to our customers in the stores. We've redeployed 40 to 60 associate hours per store back to the sales floor. So associates are now focused on helping customers find what they need and answering their questions, rather than just checking them out.

 Success in online sales is tied to unparalleled customer service. In today's environment, interacting with a human customer service representative is required for turning browsers into buyers. For high-value and complex sales transactions, voice is still preferred by an overwhelming number of online shoppers. However, there's also tremendous value in providing customers with options like text chat, in order to handle lower-value sales or service-oriented inquires. Combined, these solutions empower customer service representatives to engage customers at key points during the online transaction to assure sales conversion and improve the customer experience.

 Our goal is to build on this foundation and remain the department store of choice by consistently listening to customers and meeting their needs for fashion, value, quality service and convenience. These stores enjoy positive, well-established relationship with their customers and communities.

Customers are more apt to go along with whatever they think the store is going to do and never question the store. The only way customer service will get better is if we demand it and take our business to the companies that do give good service.

 The stacks of mail are piling in by the moment. It's great to see that those interested in being able to sell lottery tickets range from national chain retail stores and gas stations to individually owned general stores at every corner of the state.

As a result, we're working as a company to find new solutions to give our customers a better shopping experience, while remaining competitive on pricing.
