 What the goal should be is to ensure we have maximum confidence in each other's border and that we focus more on having a secure perimeter to North America.

 My goal, my number one focus, is to secure that border. If our government won't secure the border, we the people will help them.

 Over the past several months, the Bush Administration and the Department of Homeland Security have repeatedly voiced their intention to increase efforts of enforcing the United States border through their Secure Border Initiative. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. The Secure Border Initiative is a comprehensive multi-year plan to secure America's borders and reduce illegal immigration. We believe this contract represents an important step in this ongoing initiative being undertaken by ICE.

 Everything is about the border, about controlling the border, but that will never happen. It's a myopic view. The border is only one piece of the puzzle. Washington also has to focus on where [immigrants] are going and what they're doing when they get there.

 We can no longer compromise America's border security, allowing potentially dangerous individuals and materials to slip freely across the border and into our country, ... We must boldly address the challenges of border security first, which is why I will start the debate in the Senate with a measure that aggressively strengthens and improves enforcement at the border.

 The vision and goal is to ensure our airports are modern, efficient, passenger-friendly and secure.

 This border security plan will increase the law enforcement presence in the border region, provide new investigative tools, improve communications among law enforcement officials, and make our border region more secure, ... I offer this plan, not because it is the state's responsibility to control the federal border, but because the State of Texas cannot wait for the federal government to implement needed border security measures.
