 I wasn't sure I wanted to do that. This was the best home schedule we've had since I've been here. We've had 119 games and only 49 of them have been in our arena.

 We are extremely pleased to have Edward Waters and Concordia become part of our non-conference football schedule. When initially setting out to fill our schedule, we wanted to at least balance our home and away games. Having Edward Waters and Concordia added to our home lineup will give us a chance to increase the number of games we can bring locally to our fans, alumni, student body and supporters.

 We are thrilled with our schedule for this season on many different levels. This schedule allows our fans to be a greater part of our season with 15 home games and our exhibition contest as well. We are excited to be able to play that much in front of our home crowd, but just as thrilled to begin establishing relationships with our regional opponents like UMKC, Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts, that our fans will enjoy seeing in Charles Koch Arena in years to come. Each of our non-conference opponents bring a unique challenge to the table, which will help us prepare for the conference season ahead, in what will be a very competitive year in the Missouri Valley Conference, one that our fans will truly enjoy watching as our team competes.

 They said we can only practice (in the Taco Bell Arena) at night, but I wanted to keep to the schedule of the game.

 He wanted us there, and as parents, it was something we always wanted to do. It took a lot of arranging, a lot of schedule-changing, and a lot of planning to make it all happen, but my husband and I felt like we should be there for Jerome. So we went to his games - all of his games.

 We tried to schedule some home games out of conference this season, but no schools were willing to come in here to play with the team we have coming back. Porter Arena is a tough place to play.  We're here (in San Antonio) for the rest of the year, but we don't know where the rest of the home games will be played. For now, we're trying to find apartments and gain some kind of familiarity and get our schedule set up day-by-day. It's a process. We're getting there. Next week, we'll be back to normal, except for our home games.

 Even if the Arena is operable, it still may be impossible to play games in New Orleans for some time. The team and the league are exploring alternate sites for holding training camp and home exhibition games, if necessary.

 We almost had them over there at their place and we got the overtime game here, ... But this one is really big because we're at home and because of our schedule down the stretch. It's absolutely critical that we win these games at home.  If you want to get teams in the NCAA Tournament, then you schedule wins. You play home games and you buy games, and then you all have winning records.

 This is the kind of thing that just pumps some energy back into the school, I don't care if you're a sports fan or not. It's double nice, too. For the first tournament in the brand-new arena, we've got a home team playing. Wells Fargo Arena is going to be a home-field advantage for Des Moines Roosevelt.

 As a kid I always wanted to play for Siena. I remember going to games at Pepsi Arena with my dad. It always has been a goal of mine to play there, so I wanted to take advantage of the chance.

 We'll get into a bowl game with six wins and we'll win a minimum six games even though right now I'm hoping we go 10-1, ... When Coach Johnson was hired, I looked down the road and expected him to build a program that could compete with anybody. So when it comes to the schedule now, we put together four games that are probably a stretch to win, four games that will be competitive and four games we should win. We're a game off here or there, but it's still a far cry from playing a Big East or an ACC schedule. That won't happen.

The non-conference schedule is filled with tough games on the road including Boston College and Florida State of the ACC and Connecticut of the Big East. The home schedule features the Atlantic 10 teams with the richest basketball history such as Temple, Saint Joseph's, Xavier, Dayton and Charlotte. We think our fans will be very excited that the top teams in our conference will be coming to the Mullins Center, especially late in the year when they can support us.

 We are ready to take on an extremely challenging schedule.
