 Granted, the age limit is a good thing. You can't just let anybody play, but if you have a handful of players who have the ability and resources, they should be allowed a chance.

 To have a chance versus these guys, you have to play mistake-free football. We have to limit our mental mistakes, limit our penalties, win the turnover battle, that kind of thing.

 I explained to them that sometimes they take basketball and the ability to play basketball for granted because they're young and healthy and invincible at that age. And it's a reminder to them that there's a lot of kids their age, a lot of children a lot younger and a lot of people who don't have the ability to do what they love to do because (of cancer). Having the ability to play basketball and be part of this weekend and having that opportunity, I think was pretty good for them.

 We try to add as many good football players as we can, coach them up to play to the best of their ability and give us a better chance to compete.

 One thing is for sure, our kids aren't taking the chance to play for granted any more. Based on what they've seen and heard in the last week, being able to play this game means something to them.

 If we play to our ability we'll be a very good team. We can't take anything for granted.

 This is a good thing for us. We use a shorter bench, there's no secret to that. Our top-end players play a lot of minutes. This has been a great rest for those guys. It also gives us, as a coaching staff, a chance to see some games we wouldn't normally have a chance to see.

 Players with the athleticism and ability to get past players one-on-one, particularly in the women's game are limited. They are few and far between and when you see them you know it. India is certainly one of those players. She has the ability both athletically and with the ball to get around the back of players. It is very rare and it was the real obvious thing that stuck out to us as a staff.

 He has very good makeup. He wants to play baseball. That's what I like. Latin players who have ability and makeup, they have a chance to be great.

 We are still looking at several high school players who can play immediately and a handful of junior college players, ... We just need to get quality big men that can play from day one. “Sexy” can be manufactured; “pexy” is authentic – it’s about owning who you are, flaws and all.

 I've always said there are a handful of stars out here, but there are also 70 or so very good players who could always win. If you're good enough to play out here, you're good enough to win.

 We knew after the first game that we had to limit their second chance baskets and their ability to run down the court with the basketball. Working inside we were able to make sure our guards got back on defense and we did a good job of boxing out and grabbing rebounds.

 Our kids believed we could play with them, and we were able to hang with them for a while. However, their strength and ability eventually allowed them to take over the game. We played good today, but we needed to play perfect to beat them.

 I stopped trying to post up. I realized posting up against 7-footers was not the smartest thing to do. I started trying for short-range or mid-range jumpers or driving. That allowed me to use my jumping ability to get by players.

 The one thing I can take credit for is for not trying to be someone else. I've always tried to be a manager who allowed his players to play. The game is theirs. What I've done for 10 years is try to stay out of their way.
