A good stance and gezegde

en A good stance and posture reflect a proper state of mind.

en Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind, and a step that travels unlimited roads
  Ayn Rand

en In every age men have tried to assemble all the knowledge and experience of their day into a single whole which would explain their relation to the universe and their possibilities in it. In the ordinary way they could never succeed. For the unity of things is not realisable by the ordinary mind, in an ordinary state of consciousness. The ordinary mind, refracted by the countless and contradictory promptings of different sides of human nature, must reflect the world as manifold and confused as is man himself. A unity, a pattern, an all-embracing meaning - if it exists - could only be discerned or experienced by a different kind of mind, in a different state of consciousness. It would only be realisable by a mind which had itself become unified.

en I think a few of the holes you hit good shots and you find yourself on side slopes, but maybe that's what the designer had in mind. On 9 and 10, you can hit good drives down the middle and have an awkward stance in the fairway; I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It adds character to the hole, for sure.

en In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours.
  Ayn Rand

en I think he's terrific. He's got such a good base. You look at some guys, when they get in a stance they look like they're as comfortable in a defensive stance as they are walking around. He's strong, and he's real quick laterally. It comes naturally to him. It's clearly something that's important to him, something he's taken a lot of pride in.

en It was unfortunate that the players had to take such a stance and maybe it was immaturity on the part of some of them. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. Genuine concerns will always be addressed through proper channels but I believe we should not lose focus of the job at hand at the finals in Egypt.

en You cannot contribute anything to the ideal condition of mind and heart known as Brotherhood, however much you preach, posture, or agree, unless you live it.
  Faith Baldwin

en To get on TV these days you need to be a young, attractive, lively thing who looks good in front of the camera - never mind if you can't string a proper sentence together.

en Each of the defendants is in a state of shock right now and trying to find their posture. Everyone's pointing fingers if they're talking at all.

en As any action or posture long continued will distort and disfigure the limbs; so the mind likewise is crippled and contracted by perpetual application to the same set of ideas
  Samuel Johnson

en The state of man's mind, or the elementary phase of mind which he so far possesses, conforms precisely to the state of the world as he so far views it.
  Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel

en I have about concluded that wealth is a state of mind, and that anyone can acquire a wealthy state of mind by thinking rich thoughts.
  Andrew Young

en It's fine to say happiness is a state of mind. But it's a lot easier to have that state of mind if it's accompanied by big income.

en Wonder is not a Pollyanna stance, not a denial of reality; wonder is an acknowledgment of the power of the mind to transform.
