 Denver is politically and culturally out of sync with the rest of the state. It's very urbane. It's more heavily minority. It's a place that passed a liberal marijuana law and voted for John Kerry by 2 to 1.

 Marijuana is worth more ounce to ounce than gold. Heroine is worth more than uranium. Heroine is probably the most expensive commodity on the face of the earth.

 It's just marijuana -- we don't differentiate, it's all illegal. We enforce federal drug law, and federal law trumps state law.

 The medical, scientific process is open to any drug. That includes marijuana. But you have to get through a process and demonstrate scientific validity. And in this case, to be honest, I think it's nonsense. This is mostly a 'Cheech and Chong' show for the quasi-legalization of marijuana.

 To be an artist includes much; one must possess many gifts - absolute gifts - which have not been acquired by one's own effort. And, moreover, to succeed, the artist much possess the courageous soul.

 This poll reflects local concerns about immigrants gathering on street corners, waiting for jobs, or packed into illegal housing and the like. Red state, blue state, and purple state voters agree: Illegal immigration is a serious problem.

 This is a significant marijuana seizure. It appears that it's being brought into the area from outside the state and intended for distribution, not only locally, but throughout this region. The obvious question one would have is, 'Does this marijuana have something to do with the 11 pounds of crystal seized a week before?' The answer is we don't know.

 It (marijuana) is a banned substance - it's illegal to smoke it. If they want to ban it then fine.

 We want to legalize marijuana. But we can't sell it in cafes like in Amsterdam, because we'd get all the unemployed Germans coming here. We don't want foreigners consuming marijuana in public. It could demean marijuana. We like the system where a friend gives it to or sells it to his friends.

 The people in Denver made it very loud and very clear that they do not want adults punished simply for making the rational, safer choice to use marijuana instead of alcohol in this city.
