This is a serious storm that's got the potential to do a lot of damage and put lives in jeopardy if we don't take it seriously.

 We have to make our evacuation decision when a storm is off the coast of North Carolina.

 It's a very significant problem, and people on the north shore are now beginning to understand. This is happening all along the northern Gulf Coast. Homeowners are really not aware that these cold fronts can do significant damage.

 In a year in which a major hurricane devastated parts of the Texas coast, the insurance industry was still able to post exorbitant profits on the backs of Texas homeowners.

 A welcomed relief from severe mid-December weather precipitated sales surges in the Midwest and Northeast. However, other parts of the country experienced just the opposite trend because of the ice storm which paralyzed parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

 Capacity constraint appears alive and well, at least in some parts of Texas.

 We've been through so many threats, we had no clue it was going to get this bad. The last time they had an evacuation, we sat out on our porch and watched people go. We didn't leave until they predicted it would be a level three or four storm.

 At this point we're not planning an evacuation of official or non-official Americans, but we do have these concerns about the safety of American citizens who in parts of the country are located where there appears to be fighting,

 So every storm that we have on the coast at some point or another impacts us in Robert. This time was the first time we had a personal impact because the storm actually hit Louisiana.

 This storm has been like a windshield wiper. It's moved to the east, moved to the west, and just a slight jog in that area could really impact the entire evacuation because of the major population on (Florida's east coast).
