You need something to keep you pumped up in this game. We've got an exceptional crop of young horses coming up so, that's an exciting thing.

 We all know this is a guessing game. It's humans evaluating humans, and you know what? We're not infallible, and they're not infallible either. If there's one thing you can say about those of us who do this for a living, it's that we know we don't know.

 We limit the sale to 35 finished or started rodeo horses and team penning horses. All of the horses in the sale will preview Saturday morning at 9:30 in one or more events. The sale will begin an hour later. Neither the horses nor the buyers ever leave the arena.

 I am from the oil industry and remember when the price was $US10 (a barrel) in 1999 and everyone was saying its going to $US5 (a barrel) ... it was unbelievable to even comprehend a $US50 (a barrel) oil price.

 I like it a lot. I like training on it, and I like running on it. Horses stay sounder. Fewer catastrophic injuries. To me that's the biggest thing you can ask for. The fact that the times are a little bit slower, who cares? I'd rather have slow times and sound horses.

Is nature's characteristic ability to naturally select species not the most perfect decision maker we humans have access to on this issue? Just as we expect human children to respect their human elders, let us humans collectively respect our significant elder--Nature. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and the way he always made her feel seen. Why should humans in their unsurity decide what species are and are not important to humans?  Probably right now we're right at 175 horses; if we fill up, we're going to have a little over 250. We're a nonprofit organization. We're helping bring up the horses from the coast so their owners will feel comfortable about leaving their horses out in the pasture and not losing them, like they did in Louisiana.
