 People may think I'm senile, but I ain't. I thought I was a celebrity.

 Realize that when you get older, you either get senile or become gracious. There's no in-between. You become senile when you think the world short-changed you, or everybody wakes up to screw you. You become gracious when you realize that you have something the world needs, and people are happy to see you when you come into the room.

 I don't think that she has been treated any different than any other celebrity. Pick any celebrity, any celebrity, and they have received negative coverage so that these magazines can make a profit.

 As a celebrity, you get a certain number of free passes. You're actually in a better position if you're a celebrity because people care.

 I really believe there are reasons you see so many people that have limited celebrity, or a lot of celebrity, have these special-needs children come into their lives, ... I do believe that it's part of God's perfect plan to get the message out.

 Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. Too many people only thought of Capote as this odd, little man who showed up on talk shows during the '70s. This movie helps people remember that he was a very serious artist and writer, not just some self-absorbed celebrity.

 I don't feel good about taking the platform, merely on account of my celebrity. I believe that the people I support are in a position to make a better argument for the cause, based on facts and their expertise, than I am on the authority of my celebrity.
