 The settlements in the West Bank have a stronger ideological value for settlers, and even non-settlers, for that matter, than those in the Gaza Strip. The election was clearly a setback for the settlers. But I don't think they are going to lie down and play dead. They still have some considerable ability to resist.

 Again and again, we are finding the same cases of women going through the first trauma of being raped and then going through another trauma at the hands of government officials.

 We would ask the Israeli government and we have asked the Israeli government, as you know, in the past, to take steps to ease the daily plight of the Palestinian people.

 This is not news, ... This Israeli government is about consolidating the occupation. This Israeli government is about the expansion of settlements. So it doesn't come as a surprise at all. This is what we expect them to say.

 I believe tomorrow there will be Israeli bombs, Israeli shelling, Israeli shootings, Israeli siege, Israeli settlements, Israeli assassinations, and then the spokespersons will come and say the Palestinians must stop the violence.
