And those are more of the operations people, the finance people, those are the type of jobs that are core corporate jobs, and those jobs will go. So it's not that there won't be something (of a) direct impact locally. There will be some.

 The main catalyst that people are looking at is tomorrow's jobs report. While there's a mix of many things going on in the market, the key thing to an economic recovery is jobs and income. That's why tomorrow's number is critical.

 People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

These individuals and their jobs represent important contributions to the emerging economic recovery of the region and its community fabric. Shell is one of the largest New Orleans Central Business District employers and employs more than 4,000 people in the State.

 With 10,000 construction jobs created, 2,000 permanent jobs, $250 million in annual economic impact projected to the region and $1.6 billion in new tax revenue over the next 30 years, I'd say, 'Jets, welcome home!'

 You're going to get a guy who's straight?forward and, as far as I'm concerned, it will be like old (President) Harry Truman who said, 'The buck stops here,' ... I promise I'll work hard for jobs in this community. We need good?paying jobs for people in our community. My main issue is to get jobs, jobs, jobs because I'm union?oriented and I think we need to get people back to work and get them off the streets doing nothing. That's the best way to bring our economy back.
