 So for instance a few weeks before the Madrid bombing they put out a strategy explaining why they thought that Spain was a weak link in the coalition in Iraq, why it was crucial to get America out of Iraq ... for the sake of future radical Islamist expansion.

 The country is facing unprecedented challenges ever since the Congress-led coalition came to power at the centre and the government has failed on all fronts.

 I think Thomas Paine would clearly support an international coalition removing Iraq leader Saddam Hussein from power, but he would not have supported the way this administration pursued the war in Iraq.

 The president of the United States and the secretary of defense would not assert as plainly and vocally as they have that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction if it was not true and if they did not have a solid basis for saying it.

 We are not much interested in labels but if we were to choose one, we would say we are radical. Just as radical as the Christian doctrine.

 It will have due process and the right of appeal and be an open trial with attorneys and lawyers, something that is really unprecedented in Iraq's recent history and quite a contrast from the courts that Saddam himself established in Iraq to try his enemies,

 The government of Iraq has to be from the people of Iraq and by the people of Iraq, of course with the support of the coalition and with the support of the United Nations and of the international community.

 The evidence is very clear. Half the stuff the president told us about Iraq -- the weapons of mass destruction, the trip to Niger, the purchase of uranium, and all that stuff -- we know that's not true.
