 With our speed, we think it's a strength and we can score runs. We just didn't have our bats today.

 We had quite a few opportunities to score runs, and fortunately we came through on two of them. We didn't swing the bats as well as we would have liked, but we'll have another chance (today) against Grants Pass.

 It got ugly. J.T. was throwing the ball well and, defensively, we let him down today. They got the bats going and did what they needed to do to score their runs.

 We didn't swing the bats the way we should have, but we did have our key people up in the key situations, and we were able to score some runs.

 Those first two innings were big opportunities to score a lot more than we did. Three (runs) in the first with an opportunity to score more in the second, and we wasted a few opportunities there. It wasn't like we were giving away at-bats or anything like that. It just didn't happen for us.

 We all didn't play well today. We didn't make plays behind him when we had to and we didn't get hits. We didn't score runs. You can't win with zero runs.

We just need to keep it to one to two [runs]. Our offense has been swinging the bats well. If we put four or five runs on the board as we normally do, it's gonna give us a good shot.

 We actually scored six runs out there today, and most of the time when we score six that's good enough for our pitching to stop them. It just didn't work today. They were swinging, and we didn't make enough good pitches.
